Eurostar has taken to social media to remind customers they cannot bring bombs, shells or weapons on board their trains.
The travel advice comes ahead of Remembrance Day on 11 November which honours those who died in World War One.
Passengers at this time often travel to battlefields and memorials in Europe.
This sees some travellers bringing military relics or weapon replicas with them for battle re-enactments or special events.

Eurostar is now telling their customers that this is strictly not allowed on their services.
“If you’re travelling during the commemoration period, please be aware you can’t bring any real or replica bombs, shells (complete or partial) or weapons on board,” Eurostar wrote on Twitter
“If you bring them with you they’ll be confiscated at security and may result in the need to evacuate the station.”
A further warning can be found on Eurostar’s website: “In accordance with Article 215 of the French Customs Code, you’ll be at risk of arrest, prosecution and a substantial fine if you attempt to travel with any historical weapons, munitions or explosive devices, either within your luggage or carried on you.”
They add: ”We will also disregard any certification from sellers of such items claiming that they have been de-activated and are therefore harmless. The police will deal with each detected item in the same way.”
Eurostar lists the prohibited items on their website but cautions it doesn’t cover absolutely everything.

“Anything that’s inherently dangerous or that could be used to commit an act of violence or threat will not be allowed,” stated the Eurostar site.
“If our security teams have any concerns about an item that they believe might represent a risk, Eurostar reserves the right to remove or refuse that item.”
The list includes unlicensed firearms, including replicas and de-activated firearms, and imitation or toy guns that have the appearance of a genuine weapon.
All explosives are forbidden. These include military shells (including war souvenirs and relics), detonators, smoke cartridges, grenades, mines, explosive military stores, imitation devices, fireworks, flares and pyrotechnics.
Further contraband items are inflammable substances, firelighters and lighter fuel and all flick knives, gravity knives and daggers, among others.

One Twitter user replied to Eurostar’s tweet today questioning why empty shells weren’t allowed on board.
The railway service replied: “Empty shells still need to be thoroughly investigated as it’s difficult to tell that they’re empty from the x-ray machines.
Eurostar advises getting in touch if passengers are sure what they can and can’t bring on.
Last month Italian police officers in Rome below up a bag believing it contained a suspicious item only to find it was filled with coconuts.
The airport was said to be brought to a standstill for 15 minutes during the incident and an eyewitness in the terminal took photographs of the damaged bag. ”Amazing, the Italian police have blown up a bag full of coconuts and have now reopened Rome airport,” Ned Donovan tweeted.
